We found out a few weeks ago, so most of you know by now, but for those who haven't heard...we are having a boy! Nick and I are very excited (as I am sure Trevor is as well). Everything looked good and I am feeling great. The only thing we have to do now is come up with a name. Any suggestions?

Trevor has an announcement...
I will let the shirt do the talking...
Sidenote: Story behind the shirt. A friend, Tracy, a few months ago told he husband with a shirt like this when she found out she was pregnant with her second one as well. I thought it was the cutest idea. So when I found this shirt at Carter's I bought it so I could use that idea. I saved it for a few months with the purpose of using it. Well, the weekend I was going to tell Nick with the shirt my sister and I were having a conversation and she asked me if I was pregnant...well, Nick was sitting at the table and heard our whole conversation--so, I didn't get to use the shirt. And then I was going to use it a couple of more times, but it never worked out. So, I finally got to use it when I posted on the blog.
5 years...
How we meet: a student ward at BYU
First date: We went to the Rocky Mountain Revue
How he asked me to marry him: We played a game of horse--I was in Idaho and he was suppose to be in Utah and we would play this game over the phone. Well, he surprised me and was in Idaho. It was so cute.
It has been a great 5 years and I can't wait to see what the next 70 years hold for us.
Trevor's Two Year Pictures
A while back, about the beginning of July. My sister Jeana did two year pictures of Trevor. They turned out so great. She does such a wonderful job. Here are just a couple, if you want to check out some more, go to her website: http://www.jeanabirdphotographyblog.com/ and scroll down. Thanks Jeana for doing them--I love them. If you notice Trevor has two different hairstyles, but the pictures were taken on the same day. We took some in the morning and the evening so in between I cut his hair. I can't decide which way I like better. He is growing up so fast.

Jones Family Reunion July 30 and 31
Every 2 years we have a Jones Family Reunion. My mom has 4 brothers plus herself (see picture below). My mom's closest brother is 13 years older then her. She kind of grew up as an only child. As a result of her being the youngest by so much I use to dread these reunions because most of my cousins on my mom's side were "old". Okay not that old, but their kids were our age. But as I have gotten older I really enjoy these reunions. This year was great. How they decide who is in charge of the reunion is they rotate every time and this year was my mom's turn. She did such an awesome job. It was pretty low key...we went to Lions park and hung out, played soccer, played on the playground, played basketball, played board games, played kickball, swam in the pool, ate good food and enjoyed each other company. On the last night we had a small program were everyone told how they were doing. It was great to have on update!

It was fun to be home and help my mom with all the preparation and to help carry out the reunion plans! Nick wasn't able to make it because he had to go to Flaming George. While I was at my parent's house I get this call from Nick telling me he is in the hospital in Rock Springs. Here is what happened... he was on the boat and he had this awful pain that wouldn't go away and it was getting worse. So they (he and his co workers) docked the boat and called the ambulance. The paramedics drugged him up and went to the hospital. Once at the hospital they figured out he had a kidney stone. So nick stayed in the hospital for a few hours and then went to a hotel. I wasn't able to go to Rock Springs to pick him up so his mom did. Thanks so much Cyndi for your help. The doctors said he would just have to watch to see if he could pass it by himself. So Nick is just waiting hoping it passes sooner then later.
Spudman Triathlon
Nick's Mom has done the Burley Triathlon for a couple of years now. This year we went and watched her compete, it was on July 26. She did a great job. Watching her made me want to try it next year. We will have to see if I do or not. Here is everyone right after Cyndi got done!
Cyndi took Trevor through the water to cool off.
Here is a picture of everyone as we are about to leave. I am the one taking the picture. Cyndi did so well and she didn't even have time to train for it this year. Way to go Cyndi.
24th of July Parade Floats
Nick and I didn't go to the 24th of July Parade this year, but Jeana and I did the next best thing... (it might even be better then the parade) we went to the South Towne Expo Center and saw all the floats in one place. It was a lot of fun. Brooke and Trevor had a great time. Parking was a little crazy because they decided to redo half the parking lot that day.
This year my stake, Mountain Shadows Stake, was asked to do a float. Brooke and Trevor are standing in front of my stake's float. I really wanted to help build it, work on it, but I only made it to one night and they worked on this float for months and months. It turned out amazing. The night I did go to help I put contact paper on the letter blocks
. The picture below is the float that I voted for. It was so impressive. All the floats were great.
