He turned 2!

He went from this...
To this...

Today Trevor went in for his 2 year well baby check up. I can't believe it has been 2 years. He is getting so big. He is 38.5 inches tall and 29.15 lbs. He is in the 95% for height and 75% for weight. What a growing boy.

So his birthday was on Friday, Nick was able to take the day off and we got to hang out and have a great time. Here is what we did. We woke up and watched 101 Dalmatians. He loves 101 Dalmatians. Then we had a breakfast of champions...donuts and juice. Chocolate Dunford Donuts--nothing beats them.
Then we got ready for the day and went to the Living Plant Aquarium. Trevor loves fish and sharks he had a great time.

Then we headed over to the mall for lunch and Trevor got to ride on the carousel.
Next we went to Dimple Dell to go swimming. Trevor liked it a lot. I wished we could have taken him on the big water slide (sitting on our laps of course) but he was to little. But he did go on this kid slide all by himself. He liked it, but I wasn't a big fan because he went so fast down it.

On the way home for nap time, Trevor fell asleep he had a long morning.

That night we had family over for a party. We made one of Trevor's favorite meals, chicken and broccoli. He loved it. It was fun to have family over-- Trevor's cousins Brooke and Jackson came, Trevor loves Brooke and Jackson!

The theme, was 101 Dalmatians. Trevor can watch that movie over and over--if I let him!

He loved opening his presents this year! This wrapping paper was tricky though.

Trevor blowing out the candles. He loved the ice cream not so much the cake.

Trevor got a lot of great gifts! One gift that he got was a train set. Thanks Jenn. He loves it. For the last 3 days all I hear is "train, train, train". He loves playing with it. Actually so do Nick and I. Nick has already configured it into at least 4 different railways. It is so fun.
Trevor is getting so big and we love having him in our family. Just wanted to write down a few things that he loves or does right now--the words in quotation are what he says. He loves the "park" to go "swing". He also loves to "draw" color. Loves "toons" watching cartoons. He loves to eat broccoli and pirates booty. He can say "love you!" His first double word combination that he actually said on his 2nd birthday. He has a pretty big vocabulary but he usually only says the first syllable or sound of each word when he talks, so understanding him takes practice. I do a pretty good job at it. He absolutely loves "mi" his word for milk. He would drink it all day long. He likes "juice" or in other words soda pop. He loves finding pictures of "Jes" or Jesus. If you ask him what color something is it will either be "blue" or "green!" He is so much fun to have around--he teaches me so much! We love you Trevor.

Memorial Day...

On Memorial Day Nick and I took Trevor to some cemeteries...I have family buried at the Murray and Salt Lake City Cemetery and Nick has family buried in the Farmington Cemetery. We took Trevor last year and it was raining so there weren't very many people. This year it was beautiful and there were a lot of people at the cemeteries. It was neat to see all the loved ones.
Here Trevor is at my great-great grandparents graves.
Here Trevor and I are at another set of great-great grandparents. This great-great grandpa was actually the sexton at the Salt Lake City Cemetery.

Here are Nick and Trevor at Nick's grandparents graves.

Here is Trevor sitting by his great grandpa's grave (Nick's grandpa) this is actually who his middle name is after, "Grandpa Wally".

Wheeler Farm...

Jeana and I took Brooke and Trevor to Wheeler Farm after we got back from Idaho. I missed it when our Moms and Tots group went so Jeana was kind enough to come along with me! It was a lot of fun. Here are just some pictures from that day.
Here is a picture of Trevor eating bread. He decided that he needed to eat the bread instead of feeding it to the ducks...

We did the tractor ride around the farm--wasn't what I was imagining--won't have to do that again anytime soon.

Idaho Trip

In the middle of May, Jeana and I headed to Idaho for a trip to see my family... It was so much fun! My brother Josh was getting ready to leave on his mission and so this was the last time we would all be together for two years. We just hung out together, but I loved every minute of it. We went to the YMCA and went swimming, had a couple of family dinners where Trevor got to play with his cousins, got a family picture, and went to TCBY--oh the memories... I few of these pictures in this post were taken from my sister Jeana's photography blog. Go check out her work. She does an amazing job! www.jeanabirdphotographyblog.com
This one was done by Jeana.

This one was done by Jeana, the cousins picture. Trevor is the only one not looking. I wished he would have been but he wanted nothing to do with it. Oh well! It is such a cute picture!

Then a week later my Mom and Dad brought Josh down with Jon and Jenn and took him to the MTC. Jeana and I were able to go with them. It was so neat to go there to see my brother off. He is going to be the best missionary. In the picture below Josh and I look like we are glowing (we are not, it was just my camera...) It was so funny as we were going to drop Trevor off at the babysitters he throw up! She was so kind to let me still go down to Provo. She is an amazing babysitter!

This one was also done by my sister Jeana!

Race for the Cure and Mother's Day...

Mother's Day weekend my sisters Jenn and Janessa and my Mom came into town to do the Race for the Cure. It was on May 9. It was a lot of fun. My Mother in law did it as well. My sister Jeana got a team together and we met at her house then went down to the Gateway. You don't do this race to set any personal records, you do it because you are supporting a great cause. There were thousands and thousands of people running this race. It was so neat to see everyone there for the same reason to find a cure for breast cancer!

Then for Mother's Day Nick made a wonderful dinner. We had a BBQ! We had Nick's family over and had a great time hanging out. For dessert we had Oreo truffles--delicious. Also, my gift for Mother's Day was a bookcase I had been wanting it for sometime. I love it. It was so much fun putting my books on it and I still have room for more--Yeah!!

Family Home Evening...

One monday night in May for Family Home Evening we talked about being obedient. The lesson was entitled, "I Will Obey". Nick and I use the nursery manual "Behold Your Little Ones" for our lessons most weeks. This manual is great and the lessons are perfect for toddlers. The object activity for this lesson was putting items on that protect us and talking about how they protect us and that if we obey our parents they will keep us safe and protect us. Trevor looks well protected!!

Juggling...

Nick knows how to juggle and will do it sometimes when he has three objects, balls around. Trevor has been watching him and now knows how to juggle! Okay, not really but it is Trevor's form of juggling and it is pretty cute! He takes a ball in each hand waves his arms around and then throws the balls in the air. Take a look...

Singing in the Rain...

I love the rain, Trevor not so much! He is getting better about it, but at first he acted like he was going to melt if the rain hit him. It was pretty funny! The other day, (okay it was over a month ago, but it could have been just yesterday) it was starting to rain so I gave Trevor an umbrella and we went outside to play. It actually didn't do more then sprinkle, but it was still fun. He really likes using an umbrella, now I just need to invest in a rain jacket and some galoshes and we could be outside all day.

Tulip Festival

Every year Thanksgiving Point has a Tulip Festival. Last year I went and there were no tulips--this year--it was amazing, there were tulips everywhere and they were beautiful! I just love tulips, they just make me smile. Trevor and I went with some friends on May 1 and we had a great time. Thanks Holli for the pictures, I am glad your camera worked!

Trevor loves the water. He could have stayed here all day.

Doesn't Trevor look happy?
