Out of the mouth of my boys...

Out of the mouth of Jacob:
The other day I was trying to decorate my holiday shelf so I was looking at wedding pictures (which, I thought was fitting for Valentine's day, but I didn't end up using). I don't have any wedding pictures up in our house, so the boys loved looking at them. The first time Jacob saw me in my wedding dress he pointed at me and said "mommy a princess!" It was so sweet, cute, and funny! He said it the rest of the time we were looking!

Out of the mouth of Trevor:
Story #1
Trevor loves electronics....phones, computers, video games and now apparently i pads! He got home from preschool (about a week ago) and just keep saying over and over again "mom, I have an i pad...I am going to go play a game." And for about 1/2 hour he just keep talking like he had one, he would come downstairs and tell me he was playing another game and so on. I was very confused because we don't own an i pad. Finally, I stopped him and said, Trevor can I see your i pad...he said sure...he stopped reached into his pocket and pulled out his i pad. It was imaginary! It just cracked me up though because I didn't even know that he knew what an i pad was, but apparently i was wrong. I hope his pretend i pad works for a long time, because that is the best he is going to get for a while.

Story #2
To start this story I must preface...Nick isn't a huge fan of minivans, that is an understatement, he hates them. I on the other hand love them, huge fan, but haven't ever voiced my love for them in front of Trevor. Back to the story...about a month ago Trevor and I were sitting at the table eating breakfast and out of the blue he said "Mom, you know that car that Carter and Blake have?" I said, "A van?" Trevor, "Ya a van...we need one of those cars!" And I just chuckled, and said "why don't you tell your Dad that!" Then two weeks ago we were driving down the road and we were stopped at a light and Trevor said, "Mom, you know the car that Grandma Wadsworth has?" I sad "A van?" He said, "Ya, a van, we need one of those!" I chuckled again. And said "You should bring it up with your Dad!" And then, this last Sunday he was looking out our window and saw a friend's dad go by and he said, "Mom, you know that car that Owen's dad drives?" I said, "A van?" He said, "Ya, that is it! We need one of those cars!" So, apparently we need a van. Who knew Trevor had my same love for minivans. Too bad this story doesn't end with me saying...guess what, we now own a minivan...maybe one day...but Trevor still hasn't told his dad yet!

I am a robot...

Jacob is my little boy who gets into everything...he always has been. A couple of nights ago, right before bedtime, Jacob found these two trash cans (they are brand new and unused, they were under my kitchen sink because I was still deciding what to do with them) and Jacob and Trevor loved playing with them! It just melts my heart when they play so well together, it isn't all the time, but when it happens...I just love it!

They wore them as boots...

And they became robots...(I was to slow to get a picture of both of them) but they went around saying "I am a robot" in a robot voice...it was so cute!

Super Bowl Sunday....

The best thing about Super Bowl Sunday was we got to hang out with family! Nick's brother Shawn invited us to his house for a super bowl party! There was great food, great company, and a great game. This year was the most I have ever watched of the super bowl in my life! Trevor loved playing with Jackson and Jacob loved playing with Grandma!

Grandma and Jacob

People watching the game--we had some Giant fans and some Patriots fans--which kept the game interesting!
Nick and his brothers
This is John (Brittiani's brother), Trevor and Jackson loved playing with him, and he was such a good sport to entertain them!

It was such a fun night!

The next day Trevor went with Shawn and Grandpa Kim up the canyon to go sledding! We have had very little snow this year, so the boys haven't been sledding yet. Trevor had tons of fun! The snow was icy and hard, but they still had a great time!
