Trick or Treat

On Halloween we had Jeana, Rob, and Brooke over for dinner. After dinner we went trick or treating together. Trevor and Brooke loved it! Trevor loved it so much more this year than last year. He would actually knock on the door and when it opened usually say "...treeeat" and "than you!" (he had to be prompted, but he said it.) It was so cute. Brooke was Cinderella and Trevor was a monkey! Here they are ready to go...

Here we are (mom, dad and Trevor) ready to go. I really love this picture! Nick is acting like a monkey which is very fitting because for the last few weeks he and I would always ask Trevor "what does a monkey say" and we would look like Nick in this picture. Trevor did get pretty good at acting like a monkey .

After we got done trick or treating, Trevor helped dad light the pumpkins...
...and mom hand out the candy!
Here he is looking over all the goodies he got. He can't wait for next year!

Pumpkins

The Monday evening before Halloween (October 26) Nick, Trevor and I decided we should go get pumpkins from the pumpkin patch by our house for our family home evening activity. So did a lot of other people. It was pretty busy and a little chilly but Trevor helped us pick out some great pumpkins.
Here he is amid all the pumpkins...oh so many choices...whichever one will he choose?

And the winning pumpkin is ...
This is the pumpkin Trevor came to love and carry all around the house for the next 5 days--
This pumpkin was just his size. He loved it.

That same week, on Friday night, we decided that we should carve our pumpkins. We actually got Trevor a little bigger pumpkin to carve but I decided to let him paint it instead. He loved it.
Look at the concentration on his face! After he painted his pumpkin he helped Nick and I carve ours. He wasn't really sure about what to think about gutting the pumpkin at first. He put his hand in my pumpkin and said "yew" but by the end I think he liked it enough.
But from this picture with Nick you wouldn't think so.

Trevor and Mom with all the finished products!
After we got all done we lit the two bigger pumpkins so Trevor could see what it looked like. He loved that part he went around the house and turned off all the lights. And after we looked at them he loved blowing the candles out!

Heath's Wedding

On October 13th Nick's brother Heath got married. It was fun to be with family and to celebrate this day with them. Everything was beautiful: the bride, the reception, and even the weather.
The happy couple.
Our happy family outside the temple waiting for pictures to start.
Trevor in front of the fountain outside the temple. He LOVED this fountain. He ran around it, sat by it, and tried to play in it. You couldn't pull him away from it and if you did he wasn't happy! I just love Trevor in his tie and suspenders! What a cutie!

It's a boy!

We found out a few weeks ago, so most of you know by now, but for those who haven't heard...we are having a boy! Nick and I are very excited (as I am sure Trevor is as well). Everything looked good and I am feeling great. The only thing we have to do now is come up with a name. Any suggestions?

Trevor has an announcement...

I will let the shirt do the talking...

Trevor will be a big brother around the end of January! Nick and I are very excited! (I am sure Trevor is as well!) I am 16 weeks, and so far my pregnancy has gone well. I have just been really tired and not very productive--because I take lots of naps and don't want to do much. It is getting better though! We will find out in a few weeks what the baby will be: boy or girl. (Last time with Trevor, we let it be a surprise, but this time we will find out.) I keep asking Trevor what it will be, a brother or sister and for the longest time he would say "brother" but now he says "sister" so we will have to wait and see. (and no there can't be one of each in there, I am just having one!)
Sidenote: Story behind the shirt. A friend, Tracy, a few months ago told he husband with a shirt like this when she found out she was pregnant with her second one as well. I thought it was the cutest idea. So when I found this shirt at Carter's I bought it so I could use that idea. I saved it for a few months with the purpose of using it. Well, the weekend I was going to tell Nick with the shirt my sister and I were having a conversation and she asked me if I was pregnant...well, Nick was sitting at the table and heard our whole conversation--so, I didn't get to use the shirt. And then I was going to use it a couple of more times, but it never worked out. So, I finally got to use it when I posted on the blog.

5 years...

The end of July, Nick and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary! In February we went to Disneyland to celebrate it (that is where the picture is from, I don't have any wedding pictures on my computer), so when it actually came around in July we went to dinner and a movie. It has been a wonderful 5 years. Nick is a great husband and father. Here are a few facts about us...
How we meet: a student ward at BYU
First date: We went to the Rocky Mountain Revue
How he asked me to marry him: We played a game of horse--I was in Idaho and he was suppose to be in Utah and we would play this game over the phone. Well, he surprised me and was in Idaho. It was so cute.
It has been a great 5 years and I can't wait to see what the next 70 years hold for us.

Trevor's Two Year Pictures

A while back, about the beginning of July. My sister Jeana did two year pictures of Trevor. They turned out so great. She does such a wonderful job. Here are just a couple, if you want to check out some more, go to her website: http://www.jeanabirdphotographyblog.com/ and scroll down. Thanks Jeana for doing them--I love them. If you notice Trevor has two different hairstyles, but the pictures were taken on the same day. We took some in the morning and the evening so in between I cut his hair. I can't decide which way I like better. He is growing up so fast.
