A Story to remember...

About Trevor...
The Beginning of November Trevor had his primary program.  He did a wonderful job and it was so neat to see him sing all the songs and say his part which was "I can choose the right by helping Jacob when he falls down and his cheeks turn red".  This was the first year he really knew most of the songs and was actually singing them.  They sang "Nephi's Courage" and every time they  sang "I will go, I will do" they swung their arm back and forth and Trevor did it with gusto, it was so cute!  Great Job Trevor!

The other day our dishwasher was broken, a Pyrex dish had broken into pieces.  So Nick was washing the dishes by hand.  He had the dish drainer up on the counter and Trevor walks in and sees Nick and says "What are your doing?!"  It was so funny, he didn't know what washing dishes by hand looked like!  Maybe I should do it a little more often.

About Jacob...
A couple of months ago I gave Jacob a thumbs up because he had done something good, and it was so cute, because he tried to give me a thumbs up back and he couldn't get his thumb to cooperate so he looked at me and said "Mom, all my fingers are thumbs and showed me a five!"  It was so funny!

For the first few weeks when Ellie was home every time she would cry Jacob would say in this funny demanding voice, "Mom, Ellie is saying "Where's my milk!!!"'  It was so funny and for 95% of the time he was right!

Jacob had a birthday!

Jacob turned 3!  The boys have birthday parties on their even birthday year so this wasn't a year for a party, so we just had family over for cake and ice cream.

Birthday banner, and a candy gram as the center piece.
  Which had:
* we always have to keep an eye on Jacob or else he makes a "fast break"
*Jacob loves his "milk"
*Jacob is a very picky eater and makes "sour" faces when he has to try new things!
*Jacob is so funny and always makes us "snicker"
*Jacob is always "burst"ing with energy
*Jacob (and Trevor) sometimes tear the house to "pieces"

I few days before Jacob's birthday I asked him what kind of cake he wanted and he said a batman cake.  Jacob isn't really into batman so I kept asking him are you sure you want a batman cake and he said yes...well, this was what I came up with...Jacob's batman cake!
Jacob and I...we sure do love this kid!
Jacob getting ready to blow out his candles...Brooke, Trevor and Kate are ready to help if he needs it!
 Jacob blowing out the candles!
After Jacob blew out his candles Nick asked him how old he was.  Here he is trying to make his fingers say 3...it was the cutest thing to watch him try to figure it out!

Dad and Mom with the birthday boy!
Trevor and Jacob showing off two of Jacob's presents, Jacob loves to dress up, and the army outfit and knight outfit were a hit!
Jacob is such an amazing boy and we love having him in our family!
Some things about Jacob...he is finally sleeping through the night (yay!) only took 3 years, he loves milk, is a very picky eater, says the funniest things and in the funniest voices and loves to watch Curious George cartoons.  Happy Birthday Jakers!

And pictures of Brooke holding Ellie, at the party, for the first time...she was so excited!

Jacob's birthday tradition...

Playing in the snow and sledding!  The weekend before Jacob's birthday we got snow so Nick took the boys out to play in it and then took them to sled down a little hill.  This is what we will do each year around Jacob's birthday!  The boys had a blast!  I drove the car down to take a couple of pictures...
 Jacob going down...
 Trevor going down...
...and Ellie got to stay in her carseat in the car!

1 month old...

Ellie at one month!  Where did the time go, it feels like she has always just been apart of our family!
She is growing up fast!

Ellie a couple of days old...

And at a month wrapped in the same blanket...crazy what a difference a month makes!  And I love the hair that stands straight up on the top of her head, does it all by itself!

Trevor's New Love...

He will be on it for hours and hours if we let him!

Christmas!

The tree Christmas morning...Santa had come!

Ellie with her stocking...she slept through the whole morning!

Jacob opening his presents...Santa got him a Buzzlight year toy!
 Trevor and Nick Christmas
Trevor got lots of Legos for Christmas...which he loved!  Here are the boys putting them together.
We usually do a Christmas breakfast with Jeana's family, but I was a little nervous about taking Ellie anywhere...I didn't want to get her sick...so, Nick stayed home with Ellie and I took Trevor and Jacob over for about a half hour to exchange gifts and to say "Merry Christmas!"

Then Nick and I switched and he took the boys down to Grandma Cyndi's house for Christmas dinner and presents and I stayed home with Ellie.
A picture of Ellie and I on Christmas Day...she just got to stay home!
We had a wonderful Christmas this year, and the best gift was having Ellie here!

Christmas Eve...

For Christmas Eve we had Nick's brothers and Dad over for dinner.  Nick made almost the whole turkey dinner by himself...I just helped a little here and there.  He did a wonderful job and it tasted delicious!  After dinner we did the Nativity story.  This year we started a new tradition with... Nativity puppets.  (Side story, about 4 years ago one of Jeana's friend gave her this adorable Nativity puppet set and ever since I saw them I wanted to make them for myself.  Well, I bought all of the stuff to make them four years ago, and did nothing with it and it just sat in my basement in a box.  So for whatever reason this was going to be the year I made them...and I could not have done it without Jeana and my mom!  Thank you so much for all of your help.  They turned out so cute and I am so excited to use them every year.)

The puppets had a script and a cd that had Christmas songs on it that we used.  Nick was the narrator and we all had multiple puppets that we were.

Ellie was baby Jesus
 Trevor was the wise men
 Jacob played the donkey
 The puppet show in action...

After we did the Nativity story the boys got to open two presents, Christmas Eve pajamas and a book.
Here the boys are in the pj's.  Jacob hands are spraying spider webs at me!

Introducing...

The long anticipated day had come for our family...was it going to be a boy or a girl?!

It was a girl!!!
Ellie Reese Williams

Here are Nick and I in the delivery room.  I am all hooked up and ready to go-- I was induced.
The hardest part of the labor was getting the IV.  They had to try 5 times, other then that, it went smoothly...I started pit at about 9:45 AM and she made her arrival at about noon.
Right when she was delivered, the doctor held her up to me and asked "well, what it is?"  and I looked and yelled "It's a girl!"  and then I yelled, laughed, cried some more...it is a girl!  I was very shocked to say the least--I really thought we were having a boy, so I was very surprised when she was a girl!
My mom and Cyndi in the delivery room (as well as Jeana.)
Ellie getting weighed.  She was so little compared to my other two boys.
 Her first bath!

All cleaned up.  She is a good mix of Trevor and Jacob.

Trevor meeting his sister for the first time.  Jacob had a cold so we didn't bring him to the hospital.

Trevor came up on the second day to visit as well.

We are excited that Ellie is in our home.  There is a lot more pink in our house now, which is so fun!
