Zoo with Trevor

In the beginning of July, Trevor and I needed to get out of the house. So, I decided he and I would go to the zoo. We had a great time just the two of us walking around and looking at the animals.
Here's Trevor playing at the park at the zoo. This was his favorite part.

My favorite part was the bird show. I had heard it was great, so I made sure Trevor and I went. I didn't know how Trevor would do so I bought him an icee to drink at the show. I didn't time it very well because he drank most of it before the show even started. He got a little restless, but did pretty good. And the show was amazing.

Yard Sale

Jeana and I participated in our first yard sale. Macey's was having a community yard sale in July so Jeana and I thought it would be fun to sign up for a booth. We had never had a yard sale and always talked about it, so we did it. It was a good experience and now I can say I have done a yard sale, but I don't know if I would do it again.
Here is the experience. We got up really early so we could get our stuff set up in the parking lot. We started setting up in the wrong spot so we had to move everything to the right spot. We were a little frazzled at the beginning. Nick was on a camping trip and I had to find a babysitter in a hurry because Nick hadn't made it back yet, but he did right as soon as I had one coming over. He thought he had lost his phone in the mountains, that is why I couldn't get a hold of him to see what time he would be home, but his phone was actually in his backpack. It was so hot outside and we were sitting in a asphalt parking lot and we didn't bring a canopy for shade, but the lady in the booth next to ours shared hers otherwise we would have fried! But we made a little money and had a great time.
The only pictures we took of this experience... here I am
here is Jeana!

First family camping trip

New tent means one things...
...first family camping trip. Our ward had a camp out and we thought it would be fun to take Trevor. It was at the Willows in Lehi. I loved that we didn't have to go to far so if it didn't work out we could just come home. Also, no ticks was a huge plus. We had a great time and look forward to next year!
Trevor's favorite thing to do while we were there...throwing grass on Dad and
playing with the rocks! What a little boy!
Mom and Trevor inside the tent Saturday morning. We took Trevor's pack and play and he slept great in it.
Funny side story...during the night, I woke up to some funny noises outside, I was so scared. I thought what could be lurking outside the tent (remember we were in Lehi so not too many wild animals, but my mind was going crazy with what I thought it could be...maybe a bear, a crazy person, a snake, the possibilities were endless!) I woke Nick up and said did you hear that he said yes and tried to reassure me it was nothing. Well, I kept hearing it and I told Nick get your flashlight and find out what it is so he opened the window and shined his flashlight out and guess what it was...a cow. There was a field right by our tent and he was eating a midnight snack. It was so funny! I still chuckle about it.

4th of July

For the 4th of July this year we had some friends over for dinner, fireworks, and candy poker. It was a great night. I love to play candy poker but I have such a bad poker face. If I have a good hand everyone knows it because I can't stop smiling. I would never do well in Vegas.
I am so grateful for this country we live in and for the men and women who serve/served to allow us to have the freedoms we enjoy each and everyday.
Here is Trevor sweeping our driveway as we prepare for the fireworks.

Here is Trevor putting our flag up.

Here we are waiting/watching the fireworks. Mike thanks for lighting them. Trevor loved the fireworks, he got the biggest smile on his face each time a firework was lit, and after each firework was over he would clap. It was so cute.

Trevor and Mom watching the fireworks!

Trevor and Dad watching the fireworks.

Girls Camp

I had the chance to go to Girls Camp this year with my ward. I was able to go the whole week! Thanks Nick and Jeana for your help watching Trevor! It was so much fun. There is nothing like girls camp to fill the spirit. The food was amazing, the weather was pretty good (it only rained a couple times) and the company was great. I even did the zip line they have. (side note: last year I did the zip line and screamed my head off and couldn't get down off the ladder, I was so scared I think I was in shock. It was pretty funny to watch me if you were there.) This year the zip line didn't scare me at all. Also, I did my fashion statement for the year by wearing my socks over my pants and my shirt tucked in to help avoid getting a tick and once again this system didn't fail me...no ticks!
Some highlights of camp...ninja destruction, team competitions: cup game (holding a cup between your head and your partners), don't drop the bucket (people filled your bucket up with water and if it got to heavy and you popped the balloon you were out), tug of war: the rope broke the first try, Frisbee golf, shooting a bow and arrow, singing camp songs, filling the spirit, and Bishop's night aka testimony night. Camp was wonderful

Father's Day

Father's Day weekend Nick had a camp out with the scouts. So on Friday morning Trevor and I went with him to reserve a spot. It was fun to walk around, Trevor loved the water. We also stopped at the Quarry to walk around. Nick is an amazing Dad! Nick loves spending time with Trevor! Trevor loves him so much. Right now, if Trevor gets hurt we have to call Nick to tell him what happened--it is the only thing that can calm Trevor down. It is so cute!
We had a nice Father's Day. We went down to Cyndi's house and got to spend time with Nick's family and had dinner with them.

He turned 2!

He went from this...
To this...

Today Trevor went in for his 2 year well baby check up. I can't believe it has been 2 years. He is getting so big. He is 38.5 inches tall and 29.15 lbs. He is in the 95% for height and 75% for weight. What a growing boy.

So his birthday was on Friday, Nick was able to take the day off and we got to hang out and have a great time. Here is what we did. We woke up and watched 101 Dalmatians. He loves 101 Dalmatians. Then we had a breakfast of champions...donuts and juice. Chocolate Dunford Donuts--nothing beats them.
Then we got ready for the day and went to the Living Plant Aquarium. Trevor loves fish and sharks he had a great time.

Then we headed over to the mall for lunch and Trevor got to ride on the carousel.
Next we went to Dimple Dell to go swimming. Trevor liked it a lot. I wished we could have taken him on the big water slide (sitting on our laps of course) but he was to little. But he did go on this kid slide all by himself. He liked it, but I wasn't a big fan because he went so fast down it.

On the way home for nap time, Trevor fell asleep he had a long morning.

That night we had family over for a party. We made one of Trevor's favorite meals, chicken and broccoli. He loved it. It was fun to have family over-- Trevor's cousins Brooke and Jackson came, Trevor loves Brooke and Jackson!

The theme, was 101 Dalmatians. Trevor can watch that movie over and over--if I let him!

He loved opening his presents this year! This wrapping paper was tricky though.

Trevor blowing out the candles. He loved the ice cream not so much the cake.

Trevor got a lot of great gifts! One gift that he got was a train set. Thanks Jenn. He loves it. For the last 3 days all I hear is "train, train, train". He loves playing with it. Actually so do Nick and I. Nick has already configured it into at least 4 different railways. It is so fun.
Trevor is getting so big and we love having him in our family. Just wanted to write down a few things that he loves or does right now--the words in quotation are what he says. He loves the "park" to go "swing". He also loves to "draw" color. Loves "toons" watching cartoons. He loves to eat broccoli and pirates booty. He can say "love you!" His first double word combination that he actually said on his 2nd birthday. He has a pretty big vocabulary but he usually only says the first syllable or sound of each word when he talks, so understanding him takes practice. I do a pretty good job at it. He absolutely loves "mi" his word for milk. He would drink it all day long. He likes "juice" or in other words soda pop. He loves finding pictures of "Jes" or Jesus. If you ask him what color something is it will either be "blue" or "green!" He is so much fun to have around--he teaches me so much! We love you Trevor.
