Throw Up Anyone...

I wrote this a couple of weeks ago and did not post it because I didn't have a picture. I still don't have a picture, but I decided to post it anyways so I can remember this story!
Trevor hasn't been feeling good the last few days so I took him to the doctor Wednesday, January 28 (that was an interesting experience) and he prescribed an antibiotic and an asthma inhaler (I left not really knowing why...). I don't think anything is seriously wrong with him, just a cold/flu bug. Well, Wednesday night at around 7:30 PM I gave him the antibiotic. Guess what he did--he threw up. No big deal, wasn't a ton. It got all over him and I, but I cleaned it up and Trevor got a bath out of it which he loved. He splashed and splashed and got water everywhere--but he loved it. It was great to see him laughing. So Thursday night I go to give him his medicine, thinking Wednesday night wouldn't repeat itself, would it? It was around the same time, 7:30 PM and guess what he did...yep, he throw up again. This time it was about twice as much. I had him positioned close to the sink in the kitchen, but only part of it got in there, most got on the floor and the cupboards and some on us. He got another bath out of it and he loved it again. Needless to say, I called the doctors office on Friday. They had such a crazy day that the doctor didn't call me back until 6 PM and I didn't talk to him he left a message. He told me that I should try the third dose and then bring Trevor in on Saturday. I was not looking forward to giving him the antibiotic Friday night, guess what--he did not throw up, it was great. We took Trevor in on Saturday. I left the doctors office feeling a lot better about the situation; and, no I don't think Trevor has asthma. Tonight Trevor is doing much better, he actually ate something besides drinking his milk which is all he has done for the last 6 days. On a positive note Trevor was the most cuddliest he has been since he was a baby--I miss those days!

A post out of order...

Below you will find a number of posts that I did--they are in no particular order--sorry for the randomness. They are just of what has been happening the last couple of weeks.

So to start it off a funny story about a clock--
I don't think I can write this story and convey how funny I thought it really was, but I am going to try: Those who know me, know that I love a good find/bargain so I love to look on KSL. For the last couple of months I have wanted a big clock for my kitchen. So about everyday I would go on KSL and see if I could find one. Well, on this Saturday, January 3, 2009 I found one--I didn't know for sure if I loved it, but the price was great and the size was perfect. So I called on it. She lives in Highland but says she is going to Clearfield so she could meet me off the freeway on 72nd. Perfect. I tell Nick the great news. His response "Do we really need a clock?" My response "Yes!" So I go and meet her. The clock is still in the box that it came in. I didn't want to waste this ladies time so I just buy the clock. I don't open it to look at it, I see the picture on the outside and it looks cute so I just buy it. I was so excited it was going to be perfect. Well, I get home and take it out of the box (it had never been opened) and put a battery in it. The ticker doesn't work. Okay no big deal, I will just have to buy a new one. This clock is still going to be great. So I decide I want to see what it looks like hanging up-- see if I like the size of it. So as I am hanging it up on the wall--guess what I do... I dropped it!!! Yep, that is right, I dropped it on the floor. I thought I had it on the screw but apparently not because the next thing I know it is on the floor--and broken! It was so funny I couldn't help but laugh. Nick got home that day and asked "Where is the clock?" My response "Funny story about the clock!" It was so funny. I couldn't stop laughing to tell Nick. Right now I still am laughing. So no clock.
Moral of the story: "Do we really need the clock?" "Yes", I will try again another day to find the perfect clock, only this time, I will have Nick hang it up!

Gingerbread house pictures...

I posted earlier on my blog about making a ginerbread house in December. Well, before I threw it away I took a couple of pictures and here it is.

Moms and tots...

I get together with some moms in my neighborhood once a month for a moms and tots playgroup. It just started in November, but I love going and having something to do with Trevor and getting together with all the other moms and their kids.
Here are a couple of crafts we did for December and January. In December they made macaroni wreaths and did a sewing activity.
In January the theme was Snowmen.
Trevor colored the picture and I helped him make the foam snowman.

A new car...

On Saturday, December 13, 2009 our car died. Okay not really but, we were driving to Provo for Cyndi's wedding and our car started to smell-- bad. It was the worst smell ever and it was only getting worse. Well, come to find out Monday when I take it in that it needed a lot of work to get fixed, because it had other issues as well. The smell was because gear oil had leaked. Long story short we decided the time had come to buy another car. Not my idea of a good time. We spent the next couple of weeks looking. (I really wanted to find one because we were going to visit my family in Idaho the week after Christmas!). Well, we found one and the guy we bought our car from even let us trade in our pathfinder. Don't ask me why he wanted it we told him everything that was wrong with it, but he took it and now we are driving...

A Chevy Impala! This is just a picture I took of the internet, but our car looks a lot like it without the spoiler on the back.

Not exactly the car I was looking for, but I like it and am grateful we have a car that will hopefully run for a long time!

We found the car in time to go to Idaho, but Trevor got pretty sick that week so we just decided to stay home. Driving 6 hours in a car with a little boy who is sick wasn't our idea of a good time. So we had a quiet New Year's Eve at home. Jeana and Rob came over because Brooke had already had it and we had dinner and played the Wii. They left around 8:45 PM and I was in bed and asleep by 10:30 PM. We live a crazy life. We hope that everyone had a wonderful 2008 and that 2009 will be the greatest ever!

Merry Christmas to all...okay it is a little late...

We had a great Christmas. We stayed here and spent time with Nick's family. It was so fun.
On Christmas Eve we had a small dinner with Nick's mom (Cyndi), Brad, and Nick's dad (Kim). We just had sandwiches and salad, easy, but good. Then we played some games as soon as Trevor was in bed.

After everyone left or settled down for the night I turned on Little Women to watch. It is a Wadsworth girls family tradition that was started at least 10 years ago. All the girls would stay up and watch it. We even assigned each sister a character--guess who I am? Beth! So once everyone started to move away we all got a copy, so we could still watch it no matter where we were. Everyone still does it. Sometimes I do fall asleep, but not this year. I watched the whole thing--Nick didn't think I would, but I did and I still cry every time Beth dies.

Then Christmas morning I awoke bright and early 6 AM, no not in anticipation of what was under the tree--but, for some reason I have been given the lucky task of making cinnamon rolls on Christmas morning for the last couple of years. I don't mind, but it does require I get up early. Then about 9 AM we woke Trevor up (yep, he slept in really late). And we opened gifts with Nick's dad and brother Heath. It was so fun this year to watch Trevor open the presents. He loved it.

After we opened gifts we headed over to Jeana's house for breakfast. We have done this the last couple of years. It was fun because we got to wear our Christmas Eve pajama's over to their house. I decided to make pj's for Nick, Trevor and I this year. A few people that I know do this and I loved the idea so I decided to do it. The pj's turned out--only after I decided that I needed a pattern and help from my mom on the phone. For some reason I think I am this amazing seamstress (but I am not) and I didn't think I needed a pattern for Trevor's. Well, after I had made his without a pattern I tried them on him and they wouldn't go over his diaper, I didn't allow for a bum (my mistake). So I went and got a pattern and more fabric and they turned out.

After Jeana's house we came home and got ready to go to Cyndi's house. She lives in Provo. It snowed a ton on Christmas Eve and Christmas day so I kept asking Nick if he really wanted to drive all the way down there--he said yes. So we did and it was a wonderful day. We rode some snowmoblies on her street for a few mintues.
We had Nick's favorite dinner, lasagna. Cyndi makes the best lasagna, so I don't even like to try. I was glad she made it because now I won't have to for awhile. It was great to be with Nick's family and spend the day hanging out. Here is a Christmas day picture of us.
Here is a picture of Trevor the day after Christmas playing with his toys. He is such a cutie! He got a tool set from my mom--he is wearing the saftey goggles!

We had a wonderful Christmas season. It is the best time of year. I love all the memories we made and the traditions we started. We hope everyone had a great Christmas season as well.

Sledding...

We took Trevor sledding on Saturday, January 3, 2009. He had a great time. We just went over to a junior high that is close to us and went down a small hill. The perfect size for Trevor. He loved it. Here are a few pictures.

Trevor and I all bundled up! Here we are pulling Trevor over to the school.
Trevor getting ready to go with Mom!
Trevor and Dad just finishing up a run!
We had a great time, and because we live so close we only stayed outside for about half and hour because it was so cold-- it was the perfect amount of time!
